Dave from Mohawk I was watching it also. Kind of put me in the spirit. Love the good news about Ryan. Jimmie the fat white cat got his Christmas present early. It is a new bed, and he hasn't moved out of it since Precious put it by the register. I love to take my glasses off, very nearsighted and look at the tree, the lights look magical like that. The wind has the chimes ringing and the flags flying here in Berkley. The sound the chimes make is nice. Probably drives the neighbors nuts though. When I retired I made several sets of chimes and they all sound nice. I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Would have been nice to have snow, but you snow hogs in the UP kept it to yourselves. Right now I wish I could be home with my sister and my nephew, miss them a lot. Also miss my family in Manistee. Tommorow will be spent with my daughters family the Ozanichs and my sons family Justin Du Long, also their in laws. Great Grandma Wisniewski will be there to make sure we celebrate the holiday properly. No Midnight Mass this year, the kids mass at 4:30 is where Precious has her choir of kids singing. After Midnight Mass when I was a kid we would come home and have Pork Pies and open our gifts. Now for the first time in many years there wont be any kids here to open gifts on Christmas morning. Kind of sad getting older. The good thing is Dani is having the dinner tommorrow night at her house. Eddyfitz, did St. Cecelias have a parade on Christmas night? I seem to remember that. When we lived in Germany they would carry candles and walk around the town on the way to church led by the priest and the altar boys. Maybe it was Easter in Hubbell I am thinking about. Memory is getting a little fuzzy so I have to ask Mary Kay she remembers every thing even the bad things I did as a kid and would threaten to tell Santa.Twenty four hours and Santa will be making his rounds. So you better be good little Yoopers and make sure that Santa has cookies, milk, and a carrot for the Reindeer.

Thank you Marianne!!!!
Mikie, I was just talking to my parents in Michigan this morning and they were saying pretty much the same thing. It's really hard facing Christmas with no family around to celebrate on Christmas morn. They wish they could have their grandchildren and great-grandchildren around on Christmas morning so it feels more like Christmas. I don't even want to think about when that time comes for us.
On a brighter note, I was told I'm going to be a grandma again in July. My newlywed son and daughter-in-law are having a baby then. They're the ones who got married on the shores of Big Traverse. So, we have so much to be thankful for this Christmas. Hope each and every one of you has a wonderful Christmas and a very happy 2008.
