When driving along the highways and byways around the Upper Peninsula, you'll see a variety of wild animals along your way. Some are more common than others and then you'll find the kind that Doug and Becky Grusser happened upon, like this moose they spotted just hanging around, pointing out where someone's Lake House is located. Or the bear they ran into when touring the Big Bay area. He seemed a little stiff, not at all welcoming like most Yoopers you meet. Doug and Becky's last photo has me stumped though. I'm not sure what this creature from the colored forest could be, but he sure has a big grin on his face :^>

I'm with you on the last one Mary. But it puts a smile on your face first thing in the morning!

The creature in the last picture is smiling because it has gas.

Definitely a pig-out! I think piggy is looking for another wallet to swallow. And that's not a smile, like Bobbysgirl says, "it has gas." I like the bear in "Dreads", too.

Looks like a Rhinelander Hodag took a big bite out of a propane tank

that is a hoot. I wonder if it scares any varmints from the garden? Definitely fits with yooper humor...

There is a propane tank painted like a cow near here. This looks like a frog- a big bullfrog! Those things eat birds and anything else that doesn't eat them first.

I don't know what it is, but I am staying away from Walter P.'s Mother in law!!

At first glance, the propane tank looked like a hippie's VW bus from the '60's......with a gun turret on top. Love the bear.....

Like those pictures. The tank reminds me of one in a small town near here. The house is painted in light green and black. She told her boys to go paint the gas tank so they painted it to look like a Watermelon. It really fits in with the house. Wouldn't mind haveing that Bear standing in my yard.

A hippy bus with a gun turret? So much for passive objectors. It looks like they had fun.

Many of us (passive objectors) had fun but often we didn't even know it. (That could have been caused by the funny smelling cigarettes that were being passed around).

The top two are really cool! I would be happy to have either one at my home. The bottom one, not so much. But, it is interesting.

Matt; I hear ya! Be careful, don't want all youngsters to read this on this "child-proof" site.
