Kosk: here's my brother's favorite Toivo and Eino joke (made kid friendly for your story telling)

Toivo and Eino were telling their friends that they had finished their jigsaw puzzle: 55 pieces! "Yah," says Toivo proudly, "and we did it in six months!"

"Six months?" said a friend, "that seems a long time."

Toivo gets angry. "Long time, my foot! Just look at the box! It says 2 to 4 years!"

GROAN. Maiji, I heard it was a blond who did the same puzzle. Thanks for the laugh to start my morning.

Oh, my goodness, I just read about Marianne's accident. My thoughts and prayers are with you Marianne for a speedy recovery.

Toivo and Eino moved to the big city into a high rise apt. After returning home from grocery shopping Toivo offered to go on ahead and set the doors on the way to the apt. open so Eino, carrying the groceries would have an easy time carrying the load. When Eino got to the apt. there was Toivo with two black eyes! "What happened to you?" he asked. Toivo replied "I set the doors for you and got in the elevator and this heavyset lady got on infront of me. I noticed that her dress was stuck in her b_ m so I pulled it out. She turned around and hit me. I figgured she must have wanted it there, so I put it back. She turned around and hit me again!"

I'd been wondering why Marianne wasn't on here posting her long posts. Now we know why. Sorry to hear about her accident. She better rest & not sit at the computer with a broken back. She probably needs bed rest Imagine she'll need therapy for awhile. She'll be hurting like Mike for awhile. Glad to hear Mikie is starting to feel a little better.

Happy Birthday Beverly!!!!!!!!!! Hope you have a wonderful birthday with your family :) Tried to mail you a flamingo for your birthday, but he flew into Kay's yard to be with all the other flamingos ;)

hey kosk, i'm sure i could get you some jokes. theres tons of toivo and eino jokes out there. my mom is part finn and she can swear in finn too but i have no clue what shes sayin lol i'll see what i can round up for ya.

btw mija that was a funny one...hehe.

Toivo and Eino were out fishing and caught a nice catch of fish. Toivo told Eino to mark the spot so they could find it the next time. When they went out fishing the next day, Toivo asked Eino where he marked the spot---he said right here on the side of the boat!!

One day Toivo was sitting on his porch when Eino drove up with a brand new Cadillac. Toivo says,"Eino, where'd you get da Caddy?" Eino explains, "You won't believe it. I was hitchhiking and dis beautiful woman picked me up. We were driving down da highway when all of a sudden she pulled off on a two tracker, stopped da car, took off all of her clothes, and told me I could have whatever I wanted, so I took da car". Toivo says, "Well Eino, you made da right choice, dem clothes woulda never fit you anyhow."

The lupines remind me of our Texas bluebonnets. We are thankful to Lady Bird for her contribution to make the world a more beautiful place. Remember her family in prayer over the next few days as they lay this great lady to rest.

I know we're only supposed to post twice, but I gotta say, Dashamo wins, eh!

Toivo and Eino were telling stories about their lumber camp days in Minnesota. Toivo said,"When I was logging in the northern part of Minnesota I saw a wildcat come up to the skidder one day. It was a fierce buggar, but with great presence of mind I threw a bucket of water in its face and it slunk away. Eino said, "That story is true, I can vouch for it. A few minutes after that happened I was walking down the side of a hill and I met this same wildcat. When I stopped to pet it, its whiskers were wet".

most grateful for it. I've been working on my Kalevala story all day
and just got home from class. I am enjoying this summer
storytelling course so much.
