This shot from 8 years ago is one of many examples which include our late trusty sidekick Casey (lower left). Funny how a pet becomes so much a part of the family.

Morning!

By Kenty (Dashamo) on Tuesday, June 26, 2007 - 06:14 am:

Good morning all. Interesting pic. What and where is this structure?

It's the summer home of Mary and Rodger Kerschner, the first place on the right along Five Mile Point Road coming from Eagle River.

By Michael Du Long (Mikie) on Tuesday, June 26, 2007 - 06:17 am:

Good morning, tried again but lost again, congrats Theresa.

By Therese (Therese) on Tuesday, June 26, 2007 - 06:18 am:

What an interesting house! I love the repeated roof line, like a pagoda. Can you tell us anything about it? I miss Casey on this site; so hard to lose a good friend. My almost-13 lab is slowly failing and it is painful to watch, but she teaches me about calm acceptance and dignity in old age.

Good morning! Five mile point road has sure built up. What a great place to have a home.

Good Morning, y'all from foggy mid-Michigan! Stay cool! We could do without the humidity

By Marsha, Genesee/Aura (Marsha) on Tuesday, June 26, 2007 - 09:25 am:

Did anyone see the article about Sharon Smith in Saturday's Daily Mining Gazette? Is there any way we can read it on here? It doesn't appear to be on their website.

By Paul Oesterle (Paulwebbtroll) on Tuesday, June 26, 2007 - 12:06 pm:

Is there a picture of this home from the water side?

By dlp (Babyseal) on Tuesday, June 26, 2007 - 01:15 pm:

Marsha, I read the article you are referring to. It was on two of our "famed" locals, Sharon Smith and John Dee, and how their blogs came to be. It was an interesting article. If you can't search and find the site, email me and I will mail you a copy.

By Uncle Chuck @ Little Betsy (Unclechuck) on Tuesday, June 26, 2007 - 02:42 pm:

I agree with Paul, show us a view of this home from the lake. Great place to have a log home, looks quite interesting.

By kay Moore (Mskatie) on Tuesday, June 26, 2007 - 09:43 pm:

Babyseal. I too would like a copy of those Gazettee articles. I don't know enough about computers to find any specific article. Would greatly appreciate your time and help.
