Ruthann Ruehr was the guest Pasty Camist on this day back in '99. I seem to recall this photo actually appeared in some kind of publication.

Good Morning, Everyone! We're supposed to have a beautiful day here in mid-Michigan, with a high of 73! That is wonderful weather for our kids for the last day of finals & last day of the school year!

Good morning! WOW! That bridge picture is beautiful!

By Marianne Y (Marianne) on Wednesday, June 6, 2007 - 07:29 am:

That is an awesome Lift Bridge sunset picture!

By JH (Thumbgardener) on Wednesday, June 6, 2007 - 07:35 am:

Marianne, I noticed on the weather site I go to that today is a high of 72 and tomorrow a high of 90 and tomorrow night a low of 73. I prefer today's weather.

By kosk in Toronto (Koskintoronto) on Wednesday, June 6, 2007 - 07:47 am:

That is one beautiful picture. It is sunny and cool here in Toronto
9C/50F this morning. A wee bit to the north of here, they were
dusting the snow off of their windshields, so I'm not complaining.

Morning Everyone!

Beautiful Picture!

By Capt. Paul (Eclogite) on Wednesday, June 6, 2007 - 08:10 am:

I wouldn't mind a little dusting of snow on my windshield this morning. It sure beats the 90/90 we're getting here right now.....

By Erja from Finland (Erja) on Wednesday, June 6, 2007 - 08:22 am:

Good morning all (or here in Finland; good afternoon)! We have a nice warm sunny day here in Central Ostrobothnia.
The Bridge, WOW!

By Marianne Y (Marianne) on Wednesday, June 6, 2007 - 08:27 am:

Thumbgardner, I use NOAA's web site for our area, which forecasts a high of 73 and mostly sunny today, before the heat moves in tomorrow, with a high of 90 and windy. I'd say that your forecast is very close to mine! Maybe the wind will make tomorrow's 90 seem a little bit cooler, at least I hope it will. I do find it interesting that you can come up with slightly different forecasts for Midland from NOAA, depending on how you type it in.

Kosk, it got down to 42 here this morning. Hopefully our flowers are still ok here. I was thinking that we were south of you, but we are actually north (and west) of Toronto here.

The only good thing about 90 is that it will warm up the lake water faster for the kids to play in the lakes. :-)

Very sunny and nice here, a good change from yesterday.

By JH (Thumbgardener) on Wednesday, June 6, 2007 - 08:59 am:

Marianne, I also use a NOAA site. The information for my area comes from Caro, which is about 20 miles north of us. We had a low of 36° early this morning.

By Charlotte, Mishawaka, IN (Charlotte61) on Wednesday, June 6, 2007 - 09:08 am:

Good morning from Mishawaka, IN. It is a beautiful sunny day. A little cool but I love it. They are predicting 88-90 for tomorrow here also. I won't like that so much. Enjoying the time to do some things I never get to do when school is in session. Yesterday after the rain had moved on I drove to Shipshewana, IN to the flea market. If you ever get the chance to go don't pass it up. It runs on Tuesday and Wednesday every week. There about 1000 booths. Some of them are repeats but I love just looking at everything. Did buy a few things. It was actually the first time I've been there and wished I'd brought a jacket. Usually I'm looking for a cool place to take a break.

Have a great day.

Nice picture..... Sunrise or sunset, that is the question..........

By Marianne Y (Marianne) on Wednesday, June 6, 2007 - 09:25 am:

Charlie, do you know if this picture taken from the east, facing west (that's the image I'm so used to seeing on Mich Tech's web cams), or is this picture taken from the west, facing east. With the lighting, it is difficult to see landmarks on shore for me to be certain.

I've always thought it was from the east, looking toward the sunset. The terrain to the right appears to be the Hancock side (Quincy Mine just outside of view up the hill)
