Sorry to repeat myself, but birthday wishes bear repeating. I thought I posted and then when I looked it wasn't there and I was certain that I was losing my mind. Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.

Oh, man, when I was a kid, I loved dried mud like that. I would see how big a piece I could lift up w/o it breaking. Small pleasures...... So many of today's kids are missing that kind of fun. Sad!

Oh, yeah, Happy Birthdays to Mikie and Mary. I had forgotten that song, Mikie; now I keep hearing it run through my head. :)

Congratulations also from Finland Mikie!!! And certainly HAPPY MOTHER´s DAY to all mothers and grandmas!

Japei--I'm cheering for Finland. The game between Finland and
Russia will be on TSN tomorrow morning at 7:00 AM EST.

Of course, I'm also cheering for the Finns, Swedes and French
Canadians who are playing in the NHL playoffs. I was cheering for
the one Inuit player--Cheechoo--but his team is history this year.
Sadly, my method of choosing players has not helped me (so far)
with my own standings in the workplace hockey pool.

One year my method did work, and after coming in first, I put a
Finnish flag on the mailbox of the guy in second place.

Happy Birthday Mikie...great way to start a weekend

Thanks all for the kind words on my birthday. Tim Ozanich and his brother Joe decorated my cake with a lot of sprinkles and their cousin Emma DuLong said it was the most beautiful cake. I got to share it with Jack, Emmas brother, whose birthday was on the second of May. He tried to blow out the candle, but for a one year old it wouldn't go out. Grandkids are fun. Heard from a multitude of friends and enjoyed all the messages. Andrea the Irish dancer is dancing in Ohio today and I hope she gets gold. The Manistee grandkids called and sang happy birthday, while the family here did also. Boy I am a lucky 64 year old.

Have to add my HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MIKIE too. Not sure if you will read it tho Mikie cause it is late Sat. nite here in AZ and Sunday now in MI. Hope you had a good one.
