On Monday this week we enjoyed the view from Capt. Don Kilpela's window in Copper Harbor. Eight years ago today it was the view from our window here in Eagle River, where the Pasty Cam is published every morning.

Good Morning All!!

This Picture was taken yesterday in downtown E.Tawas. I was coming out of a store and there was a couple leading them to Lake Huron. I (of course) had my camera so I got busy with some shots. Its so nice to see Nature everywhere.

I can't decide which picture I like the best.

I want to thank Charlie and Mary for setting up this site. I have been able to meet some of the nicest people in the world, got back in touch with relatives, old friends, and one old childhood playmate. Gottten to talk with some really smart people, learned a lot about the Keewenaw and seen some of the best pictures in my life. The only thing I can complain about is that there are not enough pictures of my favorite place in the world, the Bluff on the Hungarian creek.

Today marks the anniversary of one of my clearest memories of the UP: 10" of snow on May 10. For a Southerner, it was astounding. That was in 1967.

Whoa!!! I just looked at the Mackinac Bridge weather forecast and it says "BLOWING SNOW!" What's up with that??????

Go Wings! I actually had to give up 2 tickets this season because I didn't have a babysitter, and they were free! I could have cried.

Thanks, Mikie & Deb! It has been a beautiful day here in mid-Michigan. My oldest son (MTU student) & my husband took our boat out for the first time this spring. The first time out in the spring is usually a de-bugging trip, but this year it was fine. I stayed home with my middle son, in case I needed to pick up my youngest son at school earlier than planned.

Tomorrow will not be easy because our MTU son goes back UP there for the summer for summer school and to work. We are really hoping that we can find a time when both his and our schedules will mesh for us to get together UP there. That will not be an easy trick this summer. :-)

Charlie, that is an awesome view! That would be wonderful to be able to have that view day in & day out!

I just returned from the Calumet High School Spring Band Concert; what a fabulous performance it was. My compliments to all the members of the CHS band and to Scott Veenstra the band director. Our school district is fortunate to have a terrific band director like Mr. Veenstra. The choir also put on an outstanding performance.

My hubby and I did some exploring around the Keweenaw here and are nestled down in a motel room for the night, hoping to continue our exploring around the area tomorrow! We didn't peg it down again, but, mildly put, decided to leave the place (Goosenecks of the San Juan).
