The month of May draws to an end, and we pause to remember those friends and loved ones who have ended their time with us here on earth:

Our dear friend and neighbor, Stacy Hile. May 9, 2006. 98-1/2 years young.

That is an awesome sunset picture to remember those who passed away in the month of May.

To Mary and your family: our thoughts and prayers are with you on the passing of your father-in-law earlier this month.

Today I remember David Zimmerman, who passed away May 26, 2007. He made a difference in many lives and truely made the world a better place. Rest in peace Dave, your work is done. God Bless You.

Remembering my Grandma D., who died 35 years ago this month. I still miss her.

Remembering my Mom again today...June Koski Houle and my Gram...Saimi Briita Juntunen Koski and my brother Johnny Houle and my nephew Randy Houle...lives change, season pass, lives pass and seasons change...and life goes on! Wishing congrats to Annie Houle Halgren, she's gonna be a Gramma in January! And I'll be a Gram again this fall when Boonebugs sister is born.

In fond memory of Mike Clouthier, whose beautiful daughter Elizabeth graduated from LLHS last weekend. His smile and compassionate nature live on in all of his children. We miss you Mike!

My thoughts and prayers are also with the Zimmerman family. Dave was a wonderful, sweet man who touched many lives. His hugs and laugh will be missed. I would also like to remember my Grandma Gill who passed in January. I miss you Gram.

Remebering my dad who passed away 14 years ago on May 13 1993. I miss him.

In memory of Judy, Alex and Sam Weinstein who had their lives taken by a drunk driver.

Pennie: I remember that accident so well. It was so sad and senseless to have three innocent peoples lives wiped out in a split second.

In Memory of Grace Hawkin Kukuk who died at the age of 89 on May 16, 2007. Grace and her husband Norman (Boots) taught hundreds of people safe boating for many years in the completely voluntary organization, the Coast Guard Auxiliary. She was career educator and a fun loving person with a great family that I have been privilged to know for nearly all my life. God Speed Grace.

Remembering Judy Wenberg who left us May 11, 2006 to be with our Lord & Savior FOREVER.

I would like to remember my dear sweet Grandma Olga.....she has been gone 45 years and oh how I still miss her.

I am sorry to hear about Dave Z. he was a wonderful man.

Also, Pastor Jack Wallace who has been gone 2 years now on May 25th.....

Life is but a vapor......to quick it passes.

In memory of my bestest friend, Kathy Slayman who passed away on May20,2005. I'll be there tomorrow for her burial in Ahmeek cemetery. Kath, you're home with your Mom!!!! Also in memory of a wonderfully sweet woman, 94 year old Norma Sterk from Ahneek who passed away last month. She was an interesting lady, you never knew what she was going to tell you. We shared some fun times together.

Remembering Gramma and Grampa McCarthy. Both were from the U.P. Grampa was a WWII Veteran and born in Calumet in 1916. Gramma in 1916 in Gould City. This is their resting place in the Newton Township Cemetery Gould City. Its been 11 and 10 years without them and they are dearly missed.

I didn't get on the computer on yesterday so I will write my memorial now. Hal,remembering our almost 50 yrs together. Sure do miss you but I know you are up there with the rest of our families. Better late, than never posting my memorial for the month of May. A tribute to my dad who passed on May 2, 1999. I learned so much from him and he was a man who had sisu and was a jack of all trades. He taught his 4 children a good work ethic and responsibility in life by example. He loved Isle Royale and fishing on Lake Superior. We miss you daddy, William John Henry Holman(Hank). He always said, "you can call me by any name you want, just don't call me late for supper".
