Eight years ago on the Pasty Cam we had not yet started our end of the month memorial. This sunset certainly would have made a good choice.

I can see what you mean Charlie. The bridge between this world
and the next, of memories. It's beautiful.

Perfect picture of the bridge. Good Morning all.

By Paul Oesterle (Paulwebbtroll) on Monday, April 30, 2007 - 11:33 am:

There are 3 gas stations in our neighboring town. I needed gas in my pickup this forenoon before I went on my Meals On Wheels route. The first station, Citgo, was up to $3.199. I went to the next 2, Speedway was $2.959 and Admiral was also $2.959! What's wrong with this picture!!! .24 in 6 blocks.

By FJL (Langoman) on Monday, April 30, 2007 - 12:01 pm:

Let's see, who owns citgo. Could it be that U.S. bashing Dictator from So. America. I would run out of gas before I patronized a Citgo..........

By Marianne Y (Marianne) on Monday, April 30, 2007 - 12:48 pm:

I'm curious where you live, Paul. I think our gas here is in the $2.96 per gallon range here in mid-Michigan. I know that we sometimes see at least a $0.10 premium for gas that is not sold at stations near Walmart or near the expressway. I guess that's competition, the way of the free market--price at what the market will bear???

I have to somewhat agree with FJL, though, on the who owns Citgo game. With Hugo boy nationalizing all of "his" oil industries quickly, I would think twice before I let a dime of mine go to that Venezuealan dictator.

By Robert - CO (Halork) on Monday, April 30, 2007 - 01:18 pm:

Don't worry, I'm sure both those Speedway stations had their prices jacked up by lunchtime.

By Paul Oesterle (Paulwebbtroll) on Monday, April 30, 2007 - 02:24 pm:

Hi Marianne. I live about 25 miles east of Lansing. Bob, I'm sure your right. I expected the price to rise before I could get the nozzle in my fuel port! 10-4 on the Citgo!

By P.Weed (Pweed) on Monday, April 30, 2007 - 03:41 pm:

With those prices...we will never get to see the U.P again!!

By Capt. Paul (Eclogite) on Monday, April 30, 2007 - 05:09 pm:

Personally, I think I'd rather buy my fuel from a man that isn't afraid to speak his mind about the US than from companies that support countries feeding terrorism and such; just a thought.

However, I don't buy my fuel from any conventional gas stations..... I have a vehicle that burns a homegrown product, E-85 ethanol. It sure is nice to fuel up my Impala for $2.45 a gallon.....

By tom ghering (Tomgheringtcmi) on Monday, April 30, 2007 - 09:43 pm:

We're up to $2.99.9 here in mid michigan...to my mind-set that's $3.00.

By Greta Armata (Gretania) on Monday, April 30, 2007 - 10:05 pm:

Here in Milwaukee the price went up to $3.19 after supper. Ugh - and it's the reformulated stuff that gives you %^*_)(* mileage besides.

By Ken ja Mimi from da UP (Kenjamimi) on Monday, April 30, 2007 - 11:04 pm:

The Admiral station in Esky was $3.07 when I filled up this afternoon. :o(

By Beverly, San Jose (Beverly) on Tuesday, May 1, 2007 - 03:01 am:

Hi everyone. Here in San Jose the price of gas is 3.35.9 for 87 octane. The cheapest I have seen. I believe in some places it is close to 4$ I suppose a lot of people will be trading those SUV's in again.

Nothing wrong with that - gridlock in a SUV: stress. On a motorcycle: C U! :))

Disclaimer: Just be careful, and mildmannered. And yes, I know there're people that can't do without cars. But there's many who could with the least bit of input, too.
