Eight years ago, Da Yoopers played the Calumet Theatre. While in need of some TLC, the Calumet Theatre continues to serve the community after more than 100 years. Concerts, plays, community events and the annual Calumet Players musicals continue to attract audiences from the Keweenaw and beyond.

It is overcast here with an icy covering. It rained last night and now it froze. Hopefully it will have thawed a little before I have to head out on the highways to run some chores.

Good Morning all! Da Yoopers are good for a giggle, they don't hit it off in an uptight crowd. You definitely need a good sense of humor, best if slightly warped also. They are funny.

Good Morning, everyone! It's a rainy Saturday here in mid-Michigan. It's hard to believe that we have snow in our forecast for this coming week! At least the ground should be warm enough now that the snow won't hang around long!

Just found this site. I am so excited!!! Although not a true yooper, I grew up in Hurley WI so pretty close. Love the pictures they definitely made me homesick and gave me a touch of spring fever even though its nearly 80 in SC

I've never been a Yooper, but the first time I visited Copper Country, I felt as if I had come "home." I've enjoyed this site for many years and have found it to be most helpful as my husband and I have discovered things to do and places to see we might not have known about otherwise on trips to the UP. For example, on a trip to the UP last fall, I shouted at my husband to turn around. We had passed The Hut!

I have really appreciated this site since the first of the year. I fell on black ice and have a very nasty break which is taking a long time to heal. This site has saved my sanity this year!

It looks like the frets on Da Yoopers guitar constitute the "Seney Sttrrreeeetttcch"
