Remembering my dad...Eino Jacob Jarvi, He was born and raised in Eagle River. Today was his birthday, wish he was here.

In loving memory of my dad, who died on Valentine's Day, 1985 (my oldest son was 5 months old), my mom, who died on Feb 9, 1991 (before my youngest son was born), two of my grandparents, my favorite aunt, Aunt Lola, my wonderful godmother, "Auntie" Margaret, and a host of my other relatives who all passed on during the month of February, in various years. I have loving memories of you, and I miss you all very much!

Having spent 27 yrs in the Army, with 2 yrs in Vietnam, it is refreshing to read the comments by the Yoopers and others in support of our troops.
Nothing like when we returned from 'Nam. We were welcomed with tomatoes, rotten eggs and stones in California, and treated like we had the plague.
I'm sure our buddies who could not come home would've been just as disgusted as we were and be just as proud as I am to be able to call myself a
Yooper !!!
