This photogenic rabbit belongs to Ashley Byykkonen and seems to be peeking out at winter, now that its finally arrived here UP North. Precious seems to have it made, with a great place to spend the time in between feedings and pettings. I'm not sure what looks fluffier and whiter, the snow outside the bunny abode or Precious.

What a sweet bunny! I sure hope Precious is safe from its enemies in there. She sure looks comfy.

Precious looks to be either enjoying her view, or watching for springtime.

What a cute picture---makes you want to "cuddle" up with this bunny and enjoy the view.

Hey, Precious is smoking a cigarillo!

When I was little we raised rabbits for food one year, big ones about 30 inches long as I remember. We kids cared for them and Dad butchered them, rather squeamishly. We kids refused to knowingly eat them, but had some pretty strange-looking 'chicken' so suspect we have rabbit protein incorporated into us. I wouldn't mind having a pet rabbit again, but my dog Tucker is part beagle and looks on them as food on the move.

What are you saying Therese, Tucker would like being on a "fast-food" diet???

Love the bunny pic! I had bunnies for pets when I was a kid! Another photo to bring a smile to my face this am! Thanks!

Great picture. Either that is a large cage or the photo was fired off by remote something-or-other. Good work.

Cute rabbit, but whenever I see a bunny like that I think of an experience I had back when I was a kid on a farm in eastern Canada. I was cleaning out a rabbit's cage when I discovered that they bite... HARD. I actually needed stitches in my finger.

I was thinking the same thing Ray L. I wondered who got in the bunny hutch to take that picture.

To take a picture of a wild rabbit unique up on it.To take one of a tame rabbit,it's the tameway.

Oh boy David, ya got me started.
What are four hundred rabbits hopping backwards? A receding hare line.

Good soft Bunny Bread! Is Bunny Bread still around? I recall not that long ago spotting one of their truck's,not sure where. Could it have been around here? Jack Champion in $Bay had alot of rabbits in his yard, along with a Bunny Bread Truck he drove.Being a kid as I was and hearing adult jokes around the family,I told him I don't want to find a hair in my bread. He said," I heard them all kid go home." I sure was confused!

Joanie, where do you come up with this stuff! I had to laugh.
By Gonna be a Yooper (Joanie) on Tuesday, January 30, 2007 - 04:20 pm:
We still have Bunny bread and Bunny ice-cream. after you have it, you wind up having a hoppy day.

Therese--I have the same problem. I think bunnies are really cute. But, we can't have any as pets, either, because one of our dogs is quite the hunter & thinks bunnies make great snack food. The bunnies in our neighborhood have learned, for the most part, to stay outside of our fence. :-) It's hard to believe a smaller dog, especially one that is not known as a hunting dog, has such a hunting instinct.

Just one more and I'll be outta here.
Why did the bunny rabbit eat the wedding ring? 'Cause he knew it was worth 18 carrots!

I have a rabbit (Snoopy) for a pet, along with a dog that is a beagle mixed. So I have a hound and a hare. They get along just fine. We have traveled to the UP with both without any problems. But Snoopy stayed home last year because we adopted a little dog that also went up with us. Having two dogs and a rabbit was a bit too much, so he stayed at the daughters house. The grandchildren love him to death and he got real spoiled. He is four years old and has velvet like fur, but of course right now he is shedding like crazy. He has a nice cage and stays in the house along with the rest of the pets. I just vacuum more then most people do.

Drnat; If I needed stitches from being bitten by a bunny rabbit I sure wouldn't tell anyone.
