Good morning from Mishawaka IN.
First Post

By Charlie at Pasty Central on Wednesday, December 29, 2004 - 08:14 am:

Congratulations to Hancock for their hockey win over Houghton in the 30th annual Holiday Classic last night, heard on Pasty.NET, courtesy of K-Bear 102.3 FM. Earlier in the evening, Calumet and the Soo ended up with a tie.

Do you know of any other broadcast sporting events which you would like to hear streamed on the 'net? Let us know, as Pasty.NET has beefed up its resources and has room to grow. If you ever want to hear weather/traffic/programming from Marquette, you can hear Pasty.NET's live stream from WHWL with Winamp, iTunes or Real Audio.

Good Morning, This is in memory of my Mom who passed 8 years ago today. She was born in Calumet in 1915 (Her maiden name olver) and they moved downstate when she was three. She would have loved this site and all the great people here. I miss her very much... Everyone have a "Happy New Year"

I don't know how you editors decide what should be the blast from the past, but the one for today is one of my favorites. I never knew Lincoln had commissioned that road, and I love the person's comment about why he is on the copper penny.

Hello everyone. Hawaii was nice, glad to be back in touch. it will take me some time to look over mailings and pics.

By Trish, WA on Wednesday, December 29, 2004 - 01:36 pm:

I agree w/ Maija, the story of the Military Road is
fascinating. Are there any weblinks on what was done with
the copper once it reached Green Bay?
I recently learned that my g-grandma's brother was in the
Wis. 26th during the Civil War and so this is going to be
added to the family notes...to know he wore brass buttons
that had origins in the Keweenaw:)

holy moly, yooper, what's up w you?

By downstate don on Wednesday, December 29, 2004 - 04:42 pm:

Yooper...can you translate what the turtle is try-
ing to tell us?

By boxturtle on Wednesday, December 29, 2004 - 07:36 pm:

looks like that turtle has a bad case of cabin fever. If my
lip-reading's correct, he's telling us that the annoying Aflac
duck has finally gotten to him... 'Aflac yuk'.

By Just my opinion on Wednesday, December 29, 2004 - 09:43 pm:

Looks like yooper is looking for extra attention today. Nobody on Pasty Cam should be that angry. This is a pleasant site. Did somebody cross him up?

By Yoopa on Wednesday, December 29, 2004 - 11:50 pm:

Extra attention? I don't think so. It a cute turtle and thats all. And as far as being angry, you be wrong. It's a harmless graphic just like all my others. Lighten up there ''just my opinion'' ...........sheesh!

By Karen... on Thursday, December 30, 2004 - 12:42 am:

Hey Yooper. I thought he was cute also. Turtle soup for New Year's should bring good luck, don't you think? Gosh knows we could all use some of that with all the turmoil going on in the world today.

Have a Happy!!!
