That's right I said 'heap', referring to the dumping of snow we've received, turning the bare roads into snow-covered and slippery in a matter of hours. Heaps, and heaps of the white gold has fallen, assuring all those skeptics who had been worried, of a 'White Christmas'. Bill Haller, our unofficial Pasty Cam Bete Grise boat watcher/reporter, has captured a scenic shot, illustrating the loveliness that follows the snowing and blowing which fills our driveways. After the clean-up we've had to perform in the Keweenaw, I thought a reminder of the beauty was in order!

19 degrees when I left for work this morning. We finally got a little snow. I hate it when it gets cold and you still see green grass. It may sound strange, but 19 degrees doesn't seem as cold when there's snow on the ground.
Anyway, another beautiful picture from the U.P.

Fabulous! What a great picture. All those tall trees loaded with decorations from the Master. Great pic and thanks for getting out in it to capture some peaceful reality.

Beautiful picture, thanks for sharing that beauty with us. 27 this AM in south Georgia and we have frost. That is all the white stuff we get. Merry Christmas

Great pic to begin the day. Good Morning and Happy holidays to all. Thought I would share a special view from a very special spot I took on my little sojourn into Keweenaw yesterday . Had to work for it this time, as the hike up there for the pic sure filled my exercise quota for the day.....BUT it was well worth it. Enjoy!!

My wallpaper picture on my desktop for the winter months! Had a wonderful fall picture of a lake with a fisherman that has been on for months. We got over 4 inches here in Ohio but it will probably melt soon. Saw on the news that Ironwood received 2 feet of the white stuff...but they can handle it! Better them than us...cold here though.

Blue, sunnyskies with lots of fresh snow, which is equally beautiful at night with the Christmas lights here in Montreal. But it is nice to see the beautiful picture from the vicinity of Bete Grise.

Nooooooooo Linda, we don't need snow in Chicago, of course I don't mind it. My ATV with a snow plow is all set, so bring it on. Just hate those 4 hour rush hours and people with a lack of driving capabilities.

These photos are some of the best I've seen of the UP. The pictures show some of the familiar places taken from a different point of view. These different points of view show how much planning and thought went into the composition of these pictures. Hope we can see more of these excellent pictures.
