This week there has been an interesting conversation about Ancestors. There has been interest expressed in having a directory of on-going topics of conversation like this, perhaps on a page similar to the directory of Guest Gallery members. We're open to suggestions.

Paul Meier posted a very interesting discussion about the Gipp family on Nov. 17, 2002. Could that be moved to the ancestor page?

Does anybody know where you can buy large map-size satellite photos of local rural areas?
Someone said L'Anse somewhere(?).
Thanks.

In the meantime try the free USGS site below, but I too would like hard copy.

topozone.com, I just received a huge laminated color topo
map from them of the Redrige/Freda area. You just select
the area you want from your online satview browser, click a
button, select the features you want, and you have it in
about a week. The "pro" subscription gives you a "super-
size" browser that is a big as my 20" monitor. The whole
Keweenaw was color photographed in 1998 so those shots
are most interesting.

Who won the MTU football game? We can't get a score and are dying to know who won!

Hi, I was searching the web for pasty recipes, we don't have them up here and I miss them. I lived in Michigan for many years, both my folks were born there, Lansing and Grand Ledge. I sure miss it! We don't get the beautiful fall colors like you do, no reds. Though I believe we had a hotter summer this year than you did. Anyway I found this along with my search and it sure is nice to see the picture. Thanks! Cindy

Hi everyone, I sure have missed all of you and Pasty Cam! My computer went down in Oct. We then went to Fla for almost a month. Just before we left to come back home my son got sick. He just got to start working on it this past week. I am so happy to be back on.
