Just a reminder, this evening the Open House at the Einerlei in Chassell is from 7-9pm. Mention to the staff that you read about it on the Pasty Cam... and pass along a "Thank-you" for the Einerlei's long-time sponsorship of this daily feature.

Has any one on here attended the Joe Berg Science Seminar that use to be held at Tech on Mondays years ago?

By Alex Tiensivu, Inspired by past UP memories on Thursday, November 18, 2004 - 09:15 am:

I declare tomorrow as National Sleep In Day, so I can get the Early Bird Award! (Smirk).

Boy, it would be nice to be in the U.P. this time of year. Last night, I was sitting on my couch and thinking about all of my childhood friends and family members from Mohawk and Gay. No one's there anymore! I've talked to a few of them online and they've all moved, but the parents are still living in the same house's.

What I wouldn't give to rewind time for just ONE more Summer up there, with all my friends and family.

I still want to unroot my family from Georgia and find a place up there... I hope this can happen in the next couple of years.

Does anybody have photos of the new White House
building in Mohawk?

Thanks to pasty.com & Anita, I got a letter from her Dad Fred Marsy from Lake Linden. He had sailed with my Dad many years ago.He also knew 10 men that were on the Fitzgerald when it sank. He described that night on Lake Superior to me & told me that his letter is just skirming the surface with the information he has about my Dad & his(Fred's) years sailing, 50 of them. Thanks pasty.com,without your site I would have never heard from Anita or her Dad.

A few days ago someone was looking for the recipe for Pulla. I copied it and my wife made it. I had never eaten it before but both of us liked it. Now my question is, what is the traditional way for the Finnish people to eat it.

By Paul, Webberville Troll on Thursday, November 18, 2004 - 05:51 pm:

Hi there Mr. Troll in Eagle Harbor! Party store time! 7:11. I haven't heard anything about your brother. Hope things went well. I see my daughter was on this morning at 6:25.

By Ken ja Mimi from da UP on Friday, November 19, 2004 - 12:24 am:

Hei, Lowell MO, Some of us eat it just sliced, and some of us like to put butter and/or jam on it with a cup of coffee or glass of moo juice.

By Lowell Mo. on Friday, November 19, 2004 - 01:48 am:

Ken ja Mimi: thanks for the answer. Had kind of figured thats what they did. probably like eating Finn Toast. What I couldn't do with a sack of that right now. Haven't had any in a long time. Will have to talk my sister into sending me a bag. I used to have that habit of putting butter on everything but had to get away from that. It was helping to cause problems with the old ticker. Still fall off the wagon every now and then and have some.
