Unusually mild temps are lingering in the Western U.P. With the half-way point of November behind us, Keweenaw thoughts will be turning to a ground cover of white soon. With that in mind today, we get a final burst of color from two of our Guest Gallery Camists. Both Susan Hooker and Joyce Tormala spotted some splendid blooms still hanging on amidst the falling leaves and the cooler temps. Just as the first blossoms of the spring are so welcomed for the brilliance they add, these final flowers give us one last saturation of color before the ground freezes up for it's winter rest. Enjoy!

What lovely pictures, and Mary is right: last color to soak up before winter. Is that why we love red in christmas decorations? And candles have universal appeal?
The pictures are beautiful, love the boots. Rain here today, but mild. Sistah #1

I have some tiny white roses still blooming in the arbor right outside my back door and pink ones next to the garage. What a beautiful site on these gray fall days. We also have holly growing near our garage and the red berries look great poking up thru the snow in Dec, Jan, Feb - or whenever we get a little.
