If you're new to the Pasty Cam, it is our custom to devote the final day of the month to honoring friends and family who have passed on. You are welcome to add to this list the names of those whom you would like to remember:

Marion Jones
John (Freddy) Nerg
Alice Johnson
Jason Pearce
Alan Tikkanen
Marvin Niemi
Mary Ann Shaltz

Also today we introduce a new daily feature, What'sUP, where you are welcome to leave messages which aren't necessarily related to the photo of the day.

Thanks for making Pasty Central a part of your day.

Bill E. Clay of Monroe, MI.

Our Father's legacy is not just measured by riches, possessions, and worldy goods of any kind. It is the way he lived his life, the way he touched the lives of those around him, and the promises he kept. It is the kind of man he was, a man of integerity, a man of pride and respect.

We are so very proud of you, Dad, and your lifelong accomplishments. Thank you for laying the solid and loving foundations, on which we have been inspired to live our own lives.

The day God called you home our family circle was broken. One day, we will all see you again in Heaven. Your time here on Earth has been an inspiration to your family and friends. There is a link death cannot sever, love and remembrance last forever. You are gone from our touch, but never from our hearts. We love and miss you. Your wife, daughters, grandchildren, family and friends.

In memory of Stanley Puzio of Cross Village, who died last week after a long struggle with cancer. An ill-humored man, one who could be hard to love, but whom was nevertheless loved by his son Frank and daughter-in-law Melissa.

At his funeral Fr. Joe said, "When we are born we are each a small perfect creature, but over the years pain, hurt and disappointment, bearing a life that is beyond bearing, all add layers onto this creature, like an onion. Some are so burdened that they never manage to break through the layers and show the love inside them. Stanley was one of these, until the end, when he finally was able to tell his son, "I love you"."
