Roger Kangas provides us with a serene picture of one of the many moods to be found in the Keweenaw skies. This one happens to be a reflective, calm and serene spirit, which is perfect for a day like today, when we enjoy the trappings of a Christmas with family and friends. Let's all take a few minutes during the hustle and bustle of the day to stop and ponder everything and everyone we hold dear.

I just saw on the Weather Channel that there has been a tornado spotted near Lake City Florida. Strange days indeed. I hope 2007 brings better news and more seasonable weather to all.

Michigan Tech's web cams show that at least Houghton is having a white Christmas!

We have a foggy Christmas here in mid-Michigan, with green grass; that beats brown grass that we've had in some years past. We are supposed to have rain, changing over to snow, overnight, but not in time for a white Christmas here, alas!

Anyway, it's time for everyone to enjoy a Merry Christmas with family and friends.

Merry Christmas from our small town--Genesee! There was a blurb on a local news program that the first Michigan Christmas was celebrated on Keweenaw Bay in the 1600's. Any idea exactly where? My guess is at Peter Crebassa's mission north of L'anse.

Merry Christmas to everyone from Gwinn, Michigan. We had our "Green Christmas" here. Twas different. I don't recall ever seeing one up in the UP before. And I'm going back a few years. LOL I remember a few years ago we thought we were going to have one then it snowed right before Christmas.
Badkid, by the looks of the presents, I'd say you must have been a pretty good kid. And there's more to open!! You are a lucky girl. That's great.

hehe the ones that aren't opened aren't mine. they're my dads. and im a tomboy so yup that truck is allllll mine!! me been good? eh well i guess ya can say that lol i am 23 but i know i look younger, so not really a kid anymore ya know how that goes. heres a really neat pic of one of the cats on my pile of gifts...

oh and to explain the bows on the hat...i put one up there to be funny and then everyone was sticking them on my hat, so they took pics of me lookin like a dork lol

Danielle -- what a beautiful cat. I had to put one of my kitties to sleep on the day after Christmas. She had a stroke on Christmas Eve. It was a sad day in Mudville. I had her for more then 16 years. Her name was Baby.
