Here in the Keweenaw at the moment, the only ice rinks to be found are the indoor variety. Like the one in this shot by Tanya Voldarski, snapped while watching the Michigan Tech Huskies play at the MacInnes Student Ice Arena. It looks like they're playing Minnesota in this photo, but on schedule this weekend for the Hockey Huskies is a series at North Dakota. According to the Huskies Game Notes, they won't be back at play on the MacInnes ice again until January 12th, when they play Bemidji State. So you'll have to stay tuned to your radio or catch the games when they're streamed here at Pasty.net, to hear the live action!

Wish Northern would play in the GLI'S with Tech at the Joe. I know Tech is the Host, it would be great to see the U.P. take on the Trolls!

What's the difference between a hockey game and a prize fight? In a hockey game, the fights are real.

When I went to Detroit from the U.P. and was looking for a second job the Boss asked me "Why did you move down here?" I said "There is nothing up there but wild women and hockey players." Boss said," MY WIFE IS FROM ThERE!" I said,"Oh ya,What team she play for? He hired me for thinking fast on my feet.
Sorry women of the U.P. i'am sure it's not that way anymore.This was back in 1069.
