In case you haven't noticed, it's gotten pretty cold and snowy here in the Keweenaw. Of course if you live here or visited this week, you already know that. But for those of you that didn't, we can thank Steve Haagen for the current update on conditions. Steve was down on the Houghton waterfront taking in the scenery across the way from the Bridgeview park. Sure looks chilly with the snow in the air and the piles already on the ground. No wonder there's nobody in the park enjoying the view.

Wow, Mary! It really does look cold. I love the picture though. We are very cold here too, but we have no snow. They're thinking there won't be any for Christmas this year. That'll only be the 2nd time since I moved here that there was no snow for Christmas. I was so excited the first year cuz I always wanted to say I saw a brown Christmas, but I always like to see snowflakes on Christmas Eve when leaving Church. It reminds me of the movie "White Christmas" when they open the doors and there's finally some snow.

Another beautiful picture of God's Country. I sat in that very place this summer during the Memory Walk. Looks quite different this morning.

Greetings! Formerly a yooper too! REally enjoy seeing all the pictures of Lake Superior, snow etc. I'm in Tennessee now, outside of Knoxville and it was 14 and windy this morning. Don't know what the chill factor was. No snow, had 6 snow flakes yesterday (Ha) Get nostalgic every time I come to this site. Thanks to all for the beautiful pictures and pithy comments. Merry Christmas!!!

Not a bad day here in Dexter, 25 and sunny. As long as you are inside the sun helps morale at least.

It's so cold in Illinois that when I ran into my lawyer this morning he actually had his hands in his own pockets!
