Even though the official first day of winter is twenty days away, the recent snowfall has sure made it look like winter is here and the cold temperatures definitely make it feel that way, too! The snow was just beginning to cover the branches, acting like a shelter from the flakes hitting the ground, in this recent photo from Nate Alwine. He captured two hikers taking a break from across the way. Actually those aren't just any hikers, it's Nate's wife, Hilary, and friend on a recent trek at the Canyon Falls just outside of L'Anse.

Nice snowy picture. I can picture my log cabin snuggled in those woods.

Very nice picture Nate, looks like your wife and her friend were enjoying their trek by Canyon Falls Gorge. That is a very beautiful place to visit anytime of the year.
