A drive to Toivola eight years ago caught the Country Oasis dressed up (by both the owner and Mother Nature). Unfortunately, the business has recently closed.

Happy Thanksgiving a day early. We'll be off to the UP at around
4:00 AM tomorrow morning. Can't wait!!! It will, I think, be
different than last year when we were trappped in a fierce blizzard
between Munising and Marquette.

Hi everyone! Hasn't this weather in the Copper country been just great? Hey, where has sur5er been lately? I miss her posts.

Suzie, Sur5er is busy decorating the manse with Christmas decorations and baking cookies for Mikie and sending them to him, the last part is my imagination working overtime. I need to get one of my kids, or grandkids to start making Christmas cookies, since Precious is too busy.

Well,here is a story that is realted to my last post some days ago. I am thankful to my daughter Erica for our latest grandchild born 11/21/06 at 6:28 am.8lbs.4oz.We were expecting a boy because of the ultrasound she had that clearly showed so.So what a surprise when Doc said it's a girl!She is going to have to look like a boy,until something pink is bought.This is my 10th.grandaughter out of 10 grandchildren.I wish i could have been there at all their births,and see them all each day.However,only 3 are near us,6 in MN.and 1 in FL.and i have only seen 5 of them.So i'll leave you young men and women in your twenty's with this.. What you do today..will efect your grandchildren tomorow.

Congrats Dave, You are two up on me, I love having the grandkids close see some of them every day. Three live in Manistee, and I wish they were here along with the others. My older ones are computer literate and keep me in their lives via the e-mails. Hope you get to be with them all soon.
