This day eight years ago looks a lot like today. Just a little touch of white on the ground, which will be away as soon as the sun rises. The Northgate Motel (shown in the photo) is just a little ways from The Hut, where you can always get a great meal in a relaxed atmosphere...now, how's that for a segue into a plug for The Hut?

Morning to all,

I hate to be a broken record, but it's dull, damp, and hazy here in Houston as well...

By Marsha, Genesee/Aura (Marsha) on Tuesday, November 14, 2006 - 08:47 am:

Just been enjoying my second favorite website which I found out about on pastycam: http://www9.nationalgeographic.com/ngm/wildcamafrica/index.html There was a closeup of a very unique birdsnest which looked like a Christmas ornament. It hung from the tree like a ball and had a small partly yellow bird in it resembling something in the finch family. Very cool! It's so fun to watch the webcam and see 50 elephants stroll into view from behind the trees. Saw my first giraffe on there the other day, too.

Its sunny and windy in Casper, Wyoming. I'd trade you for the dull and hazy.

By Connie, Eagle River Alaska (Connie8792) on Tuesday, November 14, 2006 - 10:54 am:

I'll trade you dull and hazy for my -10 windchill this a.m

By Capt. Paul (Eclogite) on Tuesday, November 14, 2006 - 12:23 pm:

In all honesty, I'd rather have -10 windchill than dull, humid, and hazy anyday!! I love cold weather and besides, up in Alaska or Wyoming I could see a real skyscraper instead of these fake steel ones here in Houston ;-)

Hello Marsha, I too, go to the nat'l geo site. I love viewing the animals at Pete's pond in Botswana. I also discovered the polarbear cam.
http://www9.nationalgeographic.com/ngm/polarbearcam/index.html?fs=www7.nationalgeographic.com It is so neat to watch them wrestle. I am also anixously waiting for the eagle cam to sign on again. Pasty cam has really opened my eyes to the world. Great Job Guys!!!

For those of you with fast enough connections, here's a link to the Helsinki Complains Choir, singing a very beautiful song:

Enjoy! (I sure did.)

Jarmo; Enjoyed the pictures of the fishing trolls
and pictures of the big fish. Especially liked the
poem: SEA FEVER by John Masefield. Fishing on the
West Coast.
