Hockey is alive and well in the Copper Country, with the Michigan Tech Huskies skating up and down the ice each weekend. Actually this weekend they're skimming the ice in Colorado, but Justin Klenk was on hand when the Huskies had a weekend series at home in Houghton recently. I'm not certain, but I think this might be Anchorage Alaska they're playing here. At least that's what the stats I was able to find listed for the date of Justin's photo. Go Huskies!
If you want to be in on the action of tonight's hockey game in Colorado, be sure to tune in at 9:07 p.m., for the live stream from Pasty.NET/WKMJ 93.5 FM

By the way, Pasty Central shipped almost 400 pasties to Denver this week for the MTU gathering this weekend. Our holiday shipping schedule is online, too - and you'll want to order early to be assured of timely delivery.

What kind of crowd do the Hockey Huskies get these days. I've seen some pics taken at games and the crowd looked mighty thin.

The people in Denver are going to think they died and went to heaven after eating a pasty from Pasty Central!!

My wife and i were up there for a weekend a couple of years ago. We decided to get a room at the Franklin Square Best Western....the clerk mentioned the hockey team was staying there. I asked "what hockey team?" She said.."the Wisconsin Badgers"...AWESOME...so we went over to the ice arena that evening...walked up to the ticket window, and bought 2 tickets for the game.
Down in Buckyland, all the tickets are sold out...always.

Well, when we were in Marquette 3 years ago when my dad had his heart attack, we stayed at the same motel as the Michigan Wolverines hockey players stayed at. My hubby even talked to them. I'd much rather see them than the Badgers. Sorry Dave.

althought the Badgers won the NCAA Championship last year. I was fortunate to get tickets to the Regionals in Green Bay...the 3 OT game was a blast against Cornell...couldn't get much better than that. You have to admit the Badgers are one of the best college teams going. Tech used to be really good back in the 60s ... not much since. Still a lot of tradition and its exciting, especially when Bucky comes to town :) I've lived down here and in Madison for too long not to be a Badger fan. I still like Michigan when it doesn't affect the Badgers :)

Badgers, we don't need no stinkin' badgers! Don't take it personal, Dave, it's just a joke!

no prob :) badgers have thick skin as well as a tough defense

da Tech figured out in the mid sixties that the Canadian boys would win it for them. We went to the NCAA twice during my five years at da Tech and I will always remember what some Time Magazine writer wrote about the Ambassador. He was not impressed. Then U of M and the rest of the boys figured out how to recruit Candians and the rest is history. I still love the Ambassador and the little guys on the ceiling. I turned 21 there..........

And everyone knows that the WCHA is the best conference in college hockey. Mr. Deb
