Has anyone stayed at the Lighthouse Keeper's Quarters at Whitefish Point? It is a Bed & Breakfast. I stayed there one night last year when I went to the Fitzgerald Memorial service. It is really nice. The rooms are all very nice. That is the place to go to if you want a quiet relaxing atsmosphere. You can call 1 800-635-1742 for information. And Lake Superior is just outside.

I stayed at the Whitefish Point Lighthouse Keeper's Quarters last October. It was great walking outside at night and hearing only the lake & nature sounds, then going out to the lake early in the morning (with a cup of coffee) before anyone else was up. As you said, a very quiet, relaxing atmosphere!

Cotton and Trollperson, My husband and I spent two nights at Big Bay Lighthouse a couple of years ago. That was really neat except for the flies. Our blue pickup was black every time we left the lighthouse. Hope to some day stay at Whitefish Point and at Sand Hills.
