Chris Koskiniemi was in attendance at the U.P. Cross Country Finals, that were held at the Michigan Tech trails in Houghton. The first picture looks like the starting lineup, waiting for the signal to begin the race. Then further into the meet, we get a glimpse of several of the Calumet girls as they round a leafy curve in the path. From the looks of the bystanders, it was a chilly day, but that didn't stop the girls from getting out there, some with bare legs and arms even, to get the job done!

This is TRULY a cross country race! Down state we run around in circles.

Nothing like watching the beginning of the race when everyone takes off, then running through the woods to catch glimses of the runners. It was a great race to watch, although all races are.

Not all cross country runners downstate run around in circles! Our kids are often running through cornfields at their away meets. Kids have been known to get lost! At our home meets, they run through the woods adjacent to the track.

Chris, these pictures are wonderful! Any news on the 5th street fire pictures that we discussed on mail some time back? 5th and pine.
