There are a number of rivers in the U.P. with the name Carp River, but I think these photos from Betsy Ely were taken on the banks of the one that is located in Marquette County. Don't you just love the way these still-colorful leaves are suspended as they flow along with the river's waters, flipping, turning and landing every which way. Then, a little further down the banks of the river, you find them deposited along the edges as well as submerged in her waters. They perfectly decorate the landscape, as they signal the end of another season.

Color leaves...how beautiful :) Color report from Renee's backyard: still no vibrant colors. Sigh. Although a few leaves did succumb to the cold night temps, and have curled up and fallen off the trees. So much for fall colors in Indiana, eh ;)
