The wedding is taking place this Saturday afternoon. We came a week early so we could help with last minute details in preparation. Yes, this is the wedding of our son in the Navy. We were able to tour the ship he's stationed on here in San Diego....it was quite impressive!! We won't be returning the to U.P. until Monday. In the meantime, we're enjoying the California lifestyle. :-> Thanks for asking!

Hey Uncle Chuck, Rudy Aittama is a friend of my father's.

Hey Kosk, That's good to hear, alot of people know the Aittama name, Unc was a hero in the Battle of the Bulge, is from Bootjack/Dreamland area, currently lives in Livonia and is one heck of a yooper known by many. He has a place down the road from the Aittama farm, known as Mildew Manor, but they usually stay at the AmericInn when they come up. I hope he has 30 more birthdays.

Well I better get my BDAY greetings in for Unc as well.....you are an inspiration to many....and we LOVE ya unc. oh and Sister Inge called to tell me about this being on here so I better add her greetings as well

Uncle Chuck: Yes, my dad and your uncle know each other on
several scores--he brings my dad copies of the L'Anse Sentinel at
church (they go to the same one), he visited my dad in the hospital
when he was sick, they belong to the Finnish Center and are vets.

Maija: Looks like my dad and the other five people who are taking
computer lessons at the Finnish Center didn't get around to Pasty
Cam yet. Maybe next week. Thanks for welcoming him though. I
will tell him.

Happy Birthday to Uncle Rudy from all of us out here in Oregon! Glad to hear your Tigers are having such a good season! (i'm sure it's because i gave you the "lucky" Seattle Mariners rain hat....the luck went away from the Mariners, and into the Tigers...!)
