"It's a dog's life, is often a phrase used to relate a cushy, easy kind of existence and Paco here seems to be enjoying his "dog's life" just fine. Leave it to Joyce Tormala to capture the moment just right, with the pooch looking up into the apple tree like he's waiting for the apples to ripen faster so as to snack on them. Or maybe he's keeping his eye on a critter to get the jump on it when it comes down from it's lofty perch. Then again, he might just be taking in the last of the green in the trees while he can, since the color is starting to appear in Keweenaw leaves already. No matter what the case, this canine sure knows how to live!

I bet Paco is waiting for a squirrel to come down...My dog KodiSue has fallen asleep under a tree waiting for squirrels to come back down! Always enjoy Joyce's photos!

I think Paco is posing for the camera. From what I know about him, he is always accompanying his mom as she takes pictures. He must have learned to strike a pose for the camera.

Paco, you're a good boy! Who cannot love a dog? I have three.

There will probably be a lot of leaves changing in the Keweenaw after the weather you guys are experiencing today!!
Aren't doggies wonderful? Just lay around, not a care in the world because they know they will be spoiled rotten!! Maybe Paco is showing his best side for the camera in appreciation of the hard work his "servants" do for their King everyday ;-)

My lab Grady loves apples, and even in winter can tell when she is walking under an apple tree and will scan the bare branches eagerly for fruit. In the Fall -- well, she's in Dog Heaven!

The kids tell me 'tis K-Day today.
A bit brisk...but they'll swim their roommates' dog anyway.
He is a young Lab and has far more energy than good sense.

Did you ever wonder what a dog does on his day off? He can't just lay around and do nothing because that's his regular job.

Just love the dog picture, we have 3 of our own! Just like a kid. They are good companions, always around and just want to be petted from time to time. They greet you in the morning and they are there for you when you come home. They are a very big part of our family.
