From the archives -- eight years ago -- Jonanthan Hopper caught the bridge with its span up. It looks like one of those sail boats with a mast that is just a l-i-t-t-l-e too tall to fit. Motorists will likely see just the tip-top of the mast floating above the bridge deck (and they are likely five minutes late already).

Morning all!

Tim my office is so cold I put on my sweats. Ya if you believe that I have a bridge in Houghton for sale. I put the garbage out and it is so hot already this morning.

What is wrong with the bridge cam? That poor guy in the white car has been stuck there for a week!

If it's that hot in Detroit this morning, then it must be considered "steamy" here in Houston. When I left for work it was already 82 with high humidity. At least the office I'm in is nice and cool. Everyone else in the office is freezing to death though; I wonder what they would do in below zero weather?? ;-)

You all are hotter there in MI than we are in AZ.
and 'muggier' too. At least we have 'dry heat'.:-)

Betty, didn't your Mom tell you it isn't nice to tease poor people who aren't used to this heat. Just kidding, it is hot here allready glad I put in the centeral air. My windows in my office were dripping this morning.

We try and tell our kids that, but no takers.

We lost our cows this week....the farm next to ours has popcorn, but the heat caused the corn to pop and our cows thought it was snow and they all froze to death...very sad

Mikie,I just checked out the weather up your way and,believe it or not,we are cooler here in the Keys than you are! Actually,we have been fortunate here...our heat has been seasonal.We see daytime temps at 90 or so and evening temps fall to around 80. A/C helps ,too. We are getting ready for a trip UP and I look forward to it.
