Eight years ago on the Pasty Cam, Toivo tried to decide which mail was his. Like the famed snow thermometer, some Copper Country mailboxes like to accent the challenges of the winter.

Four days until PastyFest and you still have a couple of days to send your favorite photo for the 2007 Pasty Cam Calendar. Just find a photo and send the URL to 2007Calendar@pasty.com.

This week Tom Cook of Owosso begins his trek across the UP raising funds for the Nature Conservancy. I had seen Nature Conservancy signs in the Brockways a few weeks ago. Tom is starting from the Mackinac Bridge and ending up in Copper Harbor (hiking). His blog and pictures along the way will be posted at natureconservancy.org whenever he can. Go to the site and put it in your favorites. It should be interesting reading.

Hey, anyone know what happened to sur5er? Is she playing in the UP yet? I sure hope all is well with her.

I suggest that when we go on vacation, we post it so our pasty family knows not to worry.

Hey, Stuttgart - lived there from '97 to '98 before moving to Freiburg. Seems like your son likes it there - but for fine wines, he'd better come down here! :)
