Back when the Pasty Cam first started, we didn't do much with Photoshop in those early days, still on a learning curve just to publish web pages. But I couldn't resist enlarging the inset of the sign which prohibited bugs from entering McLain State Park.

I believe that year what brought us to the Park was an event known as the "Rat Run" (Run Against Tobacco). The whole family had a good time as I recall, a very pleasant day, one of the last before the blackflies arrived. Does anyone know if the Rat Run is still done anymore?

Good Morning. Sun is looking beautiful here in SE lower Michigan.

Good morning. Sun is shining in Indiana this morning...but what I would give to be experiencing the sunrise in the UP today. 50 days until my feet touch Michigan soil..and hopefully the UP :)

It was blue skies and sunny here just a little while ago. Now it is cloudy, windy and only 42°. Chance of frost tonight. It's a good thing I haven't planted the tomato and pepper plants yet.

Morning, It's about 48 and sunny here in MN, working it's way to the 60's. Perfect temps for planting our flowers. Won't get too hot and should stay comfortable. Just got back from church and now am going to FINALLY start planting flowers. It's awfully late for us to be doing that here but the weather has not cooperated at all. Have a good Sunday. Do the bugs actually listen when you put up signs like that? I'm going to have to try it.

Deb,even down here in N.Ga it has been a very cool spring.I planted my flowers in late April and they are just sort of sitting there!It used to be by the end of April all of the garden plants have been sold out. This year in May they are still getting new ones in. Very unusual weather. I like it like this tho.
