Sure is great to see all the bright green making an appearance here in the U.P. and it looks like Joyce Tormala even found some trees starting to blossom. That can only mean summer is on its way, along with the fruit that eventually follows those pretty flowery starts. Pictures like these make you feel like you're right out there walking along with Joyce, smelling all the scents of the bursting buds. With all the new beginnings, it gives you a rejuvenated spirit... I love this time of year!

This is my favorite season. I can't believe that
the leaves will be out next weekend when we
go to the UP for Victoria Day Weekend.

Beautiful pictures. You can almost imagine you have smell-o-vision.

Oh boy what I'd give to see that!

Beautiful! It looks like it does around here. All of our plum, cherry, peach and apply trees and full of blossoms. It rained some last night and when I went out to let the dog out it just smelled great! I love this time of year (once all of the dirt is gone).

Great shots Joyce. It makes me homesick for the Keweenaw because that's what our backyard looked like in Red Jacket. Our magnolia tree is in full blossom right now and it looks fantastic, but it still can't compare to the apple blossoms and lilacs we had at our old house.

I have a nice eagle family shot for my screensaver now, from one of the eaglecam websites. I need to find the lilac picture from pastycam I used for a screensaver last year at this time.

The CC apple blossom time! What memories!
Here in GB trees are just about all leafed out with the exception of some stubborn varities.
Next need to know when the bees begin to pollinate and where those trees are located. Perhaps some tasty apples????

Kosk, I can't believe the leaves will be out next weekend either! Must be the lower part of the UP!! When we get back to the cottage in early June, the leaves are usually just little buds and the tulips are JUST starting! Same with the lilacs, we still have them in late June out along the big lake!!
Have a great day everyone.

Lovely photos Joyce. That early green of trees in the spring reminds me of a lacey look like a fresh doily. I'm keeping my eye on a very knowledgeable crew who are cutting down one of our very old elms. It's about 90 feet tall and anywhere from 70 years plus they figure. Even a damaged tree like this old fellow, I hate to see it taken down. It's seen a lot in it's lifetime.

Beautiful pics. Trees have been in full bloom here for a couple of weeks now...amazing how just a few hundred miles makes a difference in the growing season.
Ms. Katie, Sorry to hear about you having to chop down your tree. I get sentimental about trees also, and when we had our house built in Michigan, I refused to have an old tree removed from the front yard.
