This is a place where my morning often begins in the spring, summer, and fall, though it's a little hard to reach in the winter. Just about a mile to jog from our home and back in Eagle River, the Evergreen Cemetery is a memorial to all the hardy souls over the past 2 centuries who have called this region 'home'. You couldn't choose a better spot for a final resting place, with a view of Lake Superior right down the road.
The picture above - appearing 8 years ago today - illustrates another aspect of the Pasty Cam. Ocasionally we return, to see a spot from a different perspective, and through the eyes of a different photographer. Years later, Donn de Yampert would return here during that 'hard to reach' season, and give us a glimpse of the other direction. It turned out to be a favorite of regular Pasty Cam watchers that year, being selected for the Pasty Cam Calendar.
