Looks like Chris Koskiniemi's party of four is having a good time huddled under the roots of a shoreline tree. Must be that Lake Superior has worn away the rocks and ground that used to be underneath those tubers, giving them a somewhat octopus-like appearance. I'm not sure if it's the same tree in the second shot, but that one on the left is sure listing towards the water and doesn't look like it would take much of a wind to push it over the edge!

I am from Indiana and I have been in Arizona about 30 yrs.

Gus- it looks to me like it's a tree further down the shoreline. But, I did have to put my glasses on to see it.

Haven't been in here for ages. Hope everyone's doing fine. For those who're interested, little Levi Clarence, son of Christer and Debbie (Debra Marttila, ex-Yooper) of Stockholm,Sweden - will get a little brother or sister in August/September. :-)
Sweden is fine, by the way - and snow has finally melted. Now, we're all looking forward to springflowers and green grass!
