As we were building that first month of the Pasty Cam back in 1998, Jonathan was a picture-snapping maniac, grabbing scenes left and right during his commute to MTU each day. The significance of this shot at the time was the sign about the Copper Kings. But if you had a fill-up this week you will notice that today's gas prices are just about double from where they were on that day in March of '98.

Pasty Central has had an onging interest in sports over the years, most recenly in the form of streaming local games, both High School and College. We followed Hancock's Hockey team down to the Semi-final's on Friday, where their season ended just short of the State Title. But we're proud of the Bulldogs nonetheless, as they defeated the number 2 ranked Big Rapids team in Gaylord, before falling to Grand Rapids Catholic Central in Plymouth. Bet they burned a little gas with all that travel this week.

Good morning everyone :) Had fun at hubby's company dinner last night, trying to convince one of the bosses that the place to put thier new distribution warehouse is not in Toledo...but in the UP :) Looks like I might have to call in reinforcement...pasties...because he was talking about all the delicious foods of the UP.

Wow Charlie, I sure do miss those lower gas prices. Would be nice to be able to fill up my truck for a little over $20...instead of the $50 it takes to fill it up now.

traverse city central won it's Ist state hockey div.2 championship by defeating Saline 2-1.A touch of the Copper Country as their coach is ex-bulldog Chris Givens.

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning in MN. We took our dog for her walk this morning and the robins were chirping away. What a lovely sound in the morning. It brings me back to my childhood, sleeping with the window open and waking up bright and early to the robins. How could you get mad about getting awakened by the beautiful sound of robins? To this day I love having the birds wake me up (unless it's those noisy crows). Anyway, since it's almost St. Patty's Day "Top of the mornin' to ya".
