I just went on the Picture Michigan site and was sent to several porno sites now I probably have their cookies on my computer. Has anyone else had this problem?

Seismic Pirate, Don't worry, the temperature is dropping and the last weather forecast I heard mentioned snow. We aren't under the weather watches, those seem to be south of Painesdale. The snow did take a beating yesterday, it settled 3 inches. Making room for more I am told.

Mikie, That happened to me, when I did a websearch for Michigan State Campgrounds, by a certain campground's name. YIKES!

Try Spybot...a free program...that will remove any tracking cookies from your computer, from that site. Just type in 'Spybot' into your search engine. Also delete the site from 'temporary internet files', and 'history'.
Also, you might want to contact the Picture Michigan website, and let them know what happened, so they can report it.

Mikie, you can also manage your cookies from your browser preferences, and set your internet security settings a little higher. AD-Aware is another good freeware tool for removing unwanted tracking programs. its fast, easy to use and catches nearly everything when properly updated. Trend Microsoft can scan your pc for free over the net and do an even better job, but it takes a long time...
