Good Morning everyone! 27 degrees and gloomy, don't think we will see the sun today. Have a great day.

Howdy, awaiting the ice competition. 25 and sun shining here.

Hello Everyone! Beautiful day here in the Copper Country. Lots of chickadees chirping on our snow shoe trek this morning. Sounded splendid. I haven't heard birds in awhile.

Have a great Sunday everyone!!

Good morning everyone :) Surprised to see that we still have snow on the ground from the snow we got Friday night. The sump pump was working overtime yesterday with the warm ground and sun doing a number on the snow.
Margaret, I think you are getting better winter weather in Texas, than we are, here in Indiana. Sigh.

BRR, polar diving is not for me!!! I am more of a sauna-type. The hotter, the better.
Seismic Pirate, Yup I drive past Sierra's Treasures every work day. I remember the business Kids N Stuff from Houghton, bought kids clothes and brought kids clothes there. I guess I never connected the name change. Does she like Hancock better than Houghton? I think she has a nice spot now. I never venture over to Houghton much due to my short half hour lunch. By the time I find a place to park, I have to head back over the bridge to return to work. Hope she does well in her new location.

dlp,
Yes, she loves Hancock and was very glad to get out of Houghton. We've got a better location and a bigger, better store w/ more window space, sidewalk space, etc. Have you been in the new Hancock Mall in the Scott bldg?? That's a nice addition to the City's offerings:)

No I haven't had a chance to get there yet, but I plan to. The outside of the building looks fabulous with that original pillar they found. Was that a treasure!
Although I do not care much for driving in Hancock (the street seems so narrow in the winter), they have some unique shops. Now there is a shop for the sportsman, the old Northwoods. I did like browsing in there. Lots of old, forgotten treasures.

By Seismic Pirate (Marc) on Sunday, January 22, 2006 - 09:13 pm:

I really hate to see Northwoods go. I think we brought eachother business but more importantly (for me) there's not much for a guy to do in my wife's place so whenever I'd get stuck there, I would run across the street, check out the gun shop and rummage through the stuff in the basement. Now all I have left is the gun shop...
