Good Morning from SE lower Michigan. We have sunshine this morning, what a beautiful sight.

Mornin' and thanks for all the help on Tsunami's. My sister and brother-in-law live on Maui and that 's where we were last Christmas. No Tsunami for them last year.

Good morning, everyone :) We have sunshine... yeeeeeee haaaaaaaaaaaw. What a confusing January though...it's supposed to be 52 degrees, today...which is a bit too warm for me. Bring on the snow.

By dlp (Babyseal) on Thursday, January 12, 2006 - 01:49 pm:

The thermometer says it is 38 degrees here in Hancock, and the sun is shining. Not as bright as yesterday, but it's there! Feel like playing hookey from work today, but I'd have to come back tomorrow anyway.

That darn lift bridge sure gives me pangs of "homesickness"!
Loads of sun today here in SW Michigan and about 48 degrees. Thoughts of my garden dance in my head. Snow/rain in tomorrows forecast - dash of reality.

Margaret,
Good for them:) I'm working w/ people affected by the Tsunami here in Asia and by all accounts it was truely devastating. I'm recording seismic data, imaging the earth very close to where the Tsunami originated and this place is full of active faults. The beaches around here aren't exactly the safest place to live, I think.

Hope the weather in the Keeweenaw cools to at least high of 32 with some snow cause the tech 'kids' are starting their statues!

Hey Nate and Hilarie Alwine, congradulations on the birth of your beautiful baby girl and Callie, welcome to the world!

By Charlotte, Mishawaka, IN (Charlotte61) on Thursday, January 12, 2006 - 09:14 pm:

NKR and Sur5er, Did you get to enjoy any of the great sun today. I enjoyed my walk home at lunch and hated to go back. But now it's time for the snow dance to start again.

By WishingIWasInDaUP (Sur5er) on Thursday, January 12, 2006 - 09:44 pm:

Charlotte, I most definately did enjoy the sunshine and the warm temps today. It made running errands so nice....but like you, I am ready for the snow to start flying, once again.

Hubby is enjoying his new local runs...and got to see parts of Indiana he hadn't been to before...Terre Haute...Carmel...and Muncie. Of course, being a Michiganner, I had to guide him via Mapquest ;)

He called to tell me he was in Hancock...after razzing me for a bit, he let on that it was Hancock County, Indiana. Never knew there was a Hancock in Indiana...now I do ;)

A very nice day here in Cornell also. Temp. was up to 44.7° F. Very foggy coming home from the Bible study at church tonight. Cute cat pix, looks like one my sister had. A Maine coon.
