Laurium is glowing with Christmas lights, thanks to Judy Byykkonen. Her home looks so festive and bright, it’s a beautiful welcome to the town as you drive down the street. Some windows with white lights, others glowing with a blue hue, just so pretty her lights put a smile on your face. My very favorite though, is Judy’s Christmas tree in front of her sliding glass doors. From further away, you can’t help but notice it, but then as you get closer it absolutely shines, brightening the evening perfectly! Lots of work goes into decorating like this and hopefully folks know that others appreciate their efforts to brighten the holiday.
If you’re still doing some gift shopping, here are some tips on what not to buy... Kite & Key Media has a video of Items Americans Really Don’t Want to See Under the Tree. The lead-in to the video says: “It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Unless you’re a terrible gift-giver (or related to one). Fortunately, there’s data on which presents Americans just don’t want.” Interesting, but I was always taught that it’s the thought that counts.

My wife just LOVED driving around not just to look at all the lights and decorations but also to look inside their homes. I didn't think it was too creepy at Christmas time.
Looks like no one's making it through Judy's sliding door anytime soon.
I'm more used to seeing that solid blue hue coming out from under the fenders and bumpers of a Low Rider.
Great video, especially the category of Romantic Partners disliking each other's gift 43% of the time. I swear after 28 years of marriage, I can't remember a single time I liked it, LOL. Now that she's gone and I'm also a new Papa, I say Christmas gifts for just the kids.

These are so awesome. It's hard to pick a favorite, but I think it'd be the last one. Just gorgeous. When I first saw these pictures on Judy's fb page, the first thing I thought about were her dogs, because that's how Judy lets them outside. I don't think anything's going outside now, lol.

I have been disappointed many times by gifts. Ya know, I know it's the thought, but if these people don't know my likes and dislikes by now, what the heck, lol? Then just send me a Christmas card. I'm happy with that, lol. I've told people numerous times that I don't enjoy getting flowers, unless it's summer and I can plant them outside. They die, and I also have a cat who loves them and makes sure they die before they should, lol. And I don't care where I put them, he seems to find them. So the #1 unwanted gift is right on for me.

Just Cash! I have a little Christmas Stocking (the only one left) and it says "No Candy, Just Cash." lol

Pleasant set that highlights the holiday spirit! And I’ve never received a gift that I didn’t appreciate. My attitude have always been; “It’s the thought that counts.”, not the gift.
