Jeff Dennis reeled in a big one on the shores of Lake Superior recently and he’s a real keeper! Fritz doesn’t look as happy as Jeff in this photo, maybe he didn’t quite enjoy the humor that day, but he sure is a mellow little pup and loves to be in on the action, so I’m sure he was enjoying the attention. Someone asked if he went in the water, Jeff said he wanted to, but no. It’s a little chilly to be swimming in Superior lately.

The remaining photos are from their game camera, which is probably one of the most scenic spots I’ve seen for setting up a camera to catch the wildlife. You just can’t beat the shores of Lake Superior for a background. I like the close-up of the deer with its eyes close and tongue sticking out, as much as to say, so there, how’s that for a pose? And then that last shot, with the full moon lighting up the scene...spectacular! Looks like the deer are perhaps beginning to herd up out that way to get away from the deeper snow, more inland.

Leaving Little Traverse Bay, we take a ride through Mohawk with E. Neil Harri. Buckle UP and enjoy the ride...check out the snowbanks on the side of the road already and today is the first day of winter!

Nice to see Fritz hanging around! And it looks like people aren't the only ones who try to catch snowflakes on their tongue....that's one excellent deer pic UP close.

Nice pix and catch of the day!
Looks like Frittered Fritz and a side of
Superior Potato Chips for dinner tonight.
And a nice quiet ride…thanks Mr. Harri!
I always liked this day, the shortest day
of the year. Now we’re on our way UP
to Spring.

These are all so great. Fritz have
me such a chuckle. I needed that.
Thanks, Fritz. But that single
deer is amazing. They are such
beautiful creatures. The moonlight
adds a touch of beauty to the
already beautiful animals.

I didn't notice when the video was
taken. We haven't had a lot of
snow since last week, and we've
had sun, so maybe they've gone
down some. If not, people are
going to be wondering where to put
the darn stuff.

Love, love, love the deer pics....and Jeff caught
our lil mascot! lol

There surely are snowbanks...When I was a little
kid, Grandpa would take me snowplowing and let me
work the hydraulics. The highlight of my life
then!

We need someone to cruise at night and get
Christmas lights! That would be so awesome!

Happy Solstice all!

Always nice pictures. The deer and its tongue
sticking out...priceless.
Thanks, for all the pictures
