Diane Richard was out and about in Baraga County while the Autumn colors were still splendid. She captured some beautiful shots, with my favorite being the first one with the leaves blanketing the ground around the picnic table. What a great spot that would be to just sit and take in the colors across the bay there. Her second photo zoomed in a bit closer to the view. You know, I actually love all five of these shots, the little barn is so quaint nestled in the Autumn hues and then the trail of leaves into the tunnel of trees there, just gorgeous. And of course, what’s not to love about the Bishop Baraga Shrine. I’m not sure what the white flower/plant is that is growing in the forefront of that shot, but it’s quite pretty.
Since Diane took us to the Shrine, I thought it would be nice to take a tour around the Bishop Baraga Shrine grounds with Nancy Haun. Tie those walking shoes and get ready for a stroll, with bonus looks around Keweenaw Bay from the height of the Shrine grounds.

And the beauty just keeps coming! Another eye-pleasing set of pix. The video was great too. I was trying to spot the Baraga Lakeside Inn on the other side of the bay. That’s where I used to stay when I went UP.
What a fantastic Autumn that it’s been. It’s been a while since we’ve had one like this and I think I’m going to miss it when it’s over. Many thanks to Diane and Nancy!

What beauty! I love all of these but the 1st and 4th have me. I like the little barn too. Absolutely spectacular!

I love the "Yellow Leaf Road"...I love all of them, to be honest. That's some kind of decorative grass in that one pic...it's truly gorgeous there.
Nancy has really done hard, beautiful work to do up the grounds there...it is so gorgeous...if you haven't been up to the Bishop...you really need to try to get there. It's phenomenal. And the chimes sound so stunning!
Alex...at 4:10, the Lakeside Inn is just to the right of the sailboat..it's the blue building.

Hello As Alex says, another great group of beautiful photos.
I rather hope the "Vote for Mount Bohemia" posts will end soon. I have not forgotten to vote; I deliberately do not. I am not a downhill skier, and if I were, I would need to have visited Mount Bohemia and a significant number of its competitors before I could legitimately pick the best. Sorry, I've been stifling this response for days and I finally gave in.

I vote for Bohemia just because it's here. I have never skied in my life....BUT...I love the Keweenaw~

I don't ski either. I've been up there a few times though, and I just love it up there. And it's at home. I could vote for Lutsen because I lived in Minnesota for 37 years, but I haven't been there. So, I'll keep voting for Bohemia. Thanks, Mary.
