Now that Debbie Jarve is retired, she doesn’t have to get up for work at 3:45, so the days she can sleep until 7:30 are amazing! Then she can get out there for a morning walk, ready to snap photos along the way. This day she headed to the Calumet Lions Park and walked around Calumet Lake. She was lucky enough to see two Trumpeter Swans in the morning chill, along with some beautiful colors still hanging on at that point. Check out that bottom photo, though... a sign of what is to come. It was cold enough that morning for frost to be covering the ground and this bench. I guess when it’s chilly like that, it must keep Debbie moving to stay warm and toasty in between snapping her beautiful photos.

The Woodsy Introverts take us on a short walk in their Colorful Autumn Forest. A nice way to start your day, with a peaceful walk with the dogs through the blanket of leaves on the forest floor.

Wow…the Fall pix just keep getting
better and better. The first two
are so picture-perfect that I thought
the swans were artificial until I saw
their wake. But then they could be
motorized, remote controlled swans.
And the video was nice, but I had to
restart it because I thought I missed
some of it. Love the walk with the dogs.
Debbie must feel very safe walking through
the woods with them at side.

BEAUTIFUL pictures. Swans must fly south hey? I
just looked...most do, but if they are where the
water doesn't freeze and they have a food
source...they stay.
