These kids enjoyed the day, despite the weather. It was a windy, wet day with rain off and on, but Danielle Davis’ crew made the most of it and enjoyed the beach no matter what! With the waves in the photos, especially the third shot, you know the wind was howling and if you couldn’t tell by the waves, then the second and fifth photos of the kids show the wind whipping around them, along with the waves wetting their feet, too! The kiddos look like real adventurers with the poses and faces, too. Danielle said after this excursion the kids enjoyed some lunch and then played bingo at the Little Gem Community Center. It looks like a fun time was had by all, proving that a day at the beach can be enjoyed even when it’s not blistering hot and sunny.

In the Keweenaw is taking us on a fly-by around Eagle Harbor during the Art Fair earlier in the month and for a look at the Eagle Harbor Lighthouse, too.

Hi
I remember my mom taking us kids on outdoor
excursions in the rain. From her I learned don't let
the weather stop you. However, not with the Big
Lake: if the waves were more than our boat could
handle we stayed ashore.

Raw set on a day when a kite
wouldn’t stand a chance. Hence
no kites, but I bet that someone
thought about it.
Not a bad video either.

All these amazing photos that are posted here
daily I have been making a list of these sights for
Bob to get pictures of when he will be UP there
next week touring on his Dyna Low Rider. Thank you
everyone for posting and sharing your photos!

These pictures are so great. I
love being at the lake when the
waves are like that. And the
water's usually warmer when the
waves are stirring up the bottom.
But the way the kids were dressed,
I'd say it wasn't warm enough to
go in. Either way, it looks like
they had a great day. Love seeing
kids outside enjoying nature.

Most kids will make the best of any chance to get to the lake - at least we always did. Good to see these kids out and having fun!

Any other place and it would have been a miserable day.
