We’re taking a bonus night sky, sunset day today. There have been so many beautiful night/dusk scenes to share lately, I couldn’t help myself. We start with a scene around the Menominee North Pier Lighthouse from Joanne Furton. She was able to catch a ‘little one’ in a shot from the Geminid Meteor Shower last week. Beauty in the night!
We move on to L’Anse with Diane Richard for a sunset view from the L’Anse waterfront. I love how the clouds streaking the sky, were colored pink and gold from the setting sun. Superior beauty!
Next we drive out on the Traprock Valley Road for a sky turned all aglow, captured by Jean Dessellier. She always seems to have a front row seat to the beautiful scenes when the sun is coloring the skies. Outstanding capture!
We end our tour today in Calumet, with Debbie Jarve. I love the church steeples which seem to stand out even more with the skies color highlighting them. Even the bare branches of the trees are beautiful in that light. Stunning to say the least!
Debbie Jarve heads to Hancock and takes us along for a drive down Quincy Street to check out the lights. Note there were no other cars in sight. That’s because Debbie recorded this at 4:30 a.m. as she took a quick detour on her way to work in Houghton. So peaceful and pretty!

Gorgeous pix…the lighthouse looks like it is lite up for Christmas. What a sight for a ship passing by on Christmas morning. And a very pleasant and serine video. Many thanks to all of the contributors!

How stunning, especially Jean's...that's a beauty!
Love the vid. I don't get out at night...seldom see any lights...these little towns are really coming up. It's great to see!

Great selection from multiple people to make a spectacular post! Thanks everyone! And the early morning light tour is perfect! On the upper left hand side were lights up high - are those on a church steeple?

These are all stunning! I especially love the lone tree. Gorgeous! The video was cool too. I think we're taking a route tomorrow night to see as many lights as we can.

Jbuck...I think the lights you're asking about is the tree on top of the old D&N building located across the street from the Old Hancock High school. You can see a photo and history of the building here: D&N building

How did everyone know the Color of the Day was red?
Oh wait, never mind.
