With many of the photos Jean Dessellier captures in her Traprock Valley back yard, it almost seems like she lives in a zoo or wildlife sanctuary. She’s lucky to see so much wildlife without having to leave home and we’re lucky that she shares them all with us. Today we get such a close-up look at a male Ruby-throated hummingbird, that you can almost count the individual feathers. Absolutely spectacular!

Next Jean snapped a Doe and her fawn for some ‘picture perfect’ shots and a look into the interaction between mom and her kid for a few moments. It’s a scene Jean says she loves to see and something that we don’t always get to witness from such a close perspective. Mother Nature at her finest.

We wrap up this week on the Pasty Cam with a different kind of “drive” down the Covered Road on the way to Freda. H Donn de Yampert takes us on the tour with his drone and adds that he is looking forward to doing it again during the color changes of Autumn. We’ll have to stay tuned for that one.

Great pictures, especially of that
hummingbird. They have been going a little
crazy the last few weeks. None of them want
to share even though there's room for a lot,
and there are two feeders out there. But
they've been fun to watch. I've got some
good pictures, but none this good. And those
deer are so adorable. Mom and her twins are
here multiple times a day. And it never gets
old.

Unlike Donna, I can wait for fall, lol. But
that'll be a fun drive when the leaves are
turning. It's a must drive every year.

too. Pretty, but I'm not ready for fall
because then winter is right around the
corner.
