When Nancy Haun is out on the railroad tracks in the L’Anse area, waiting for a Canandian National train to come along, she often sees more than the train, like in today’s top photo. She said that it’s a good thing the train only goes 10 mph here or this scene could have had a different ending with that deer running across the tracks in front of the engine.
Then later when Nancy arrived back home, she was treated to three does and three fawns in her neighbor’s yard. They were just peacefully hanging out there grazing and checking each other out. Such a neat capture, especially with the two fawns nose to nose.
Brita Haapala completes our ‘doe/fawn’ day, with a short video of mom and two spotted youngsters in her yard. I love how all three just effortlessly bound off and leap into the woods. For more of Brita’s photography, click on over to her Facebook page here: Copper Country Captures
