When Brita Haapala was enjoying the shores of Gitche Gumme recently, a fog bank started rolling in across Lake Superior. She said it was super cool watching it roll in off of the Big Lake. Also pretty neat to see the unexpected fog on what was otherwise a sunny day. One of the many unpredictable things that happen quickly around and on Lake Superior and why experienced folks always say you have to respect the Big Lake and know what weather changes are in the forecast.
