December 1st dawned with sunshine and a hefty wind out of the north. The sun always makes the day brighter in more ways than the obvious. Even if it’s cold, the sun shining brightens everyone’s spirits. Over at Whitefish Point, Frances Czapski headed to the shores of Lake Superior, saying that the sun and waves were calling her there. The four pictures shared today, are just a few of the moments she captured. Ripples in the sand, rocks embedded in the shore where the waves wash over them, more rocks dotting the sand and ice topped pilings from an old dock are just a sampling of what can be found on the Big Lake shoreline.
Frances made a neat video on a different day, with snow falling on the rocks and sand, as waves from the north winds crash onshore. The snow is like someone is shaking a salt shaker or maybe snow from a snowglobe falling on the shore.

I'd hurt someone to be able to go out there...not really...but I'm wishing I could do one more rock hunt!

You can hurt me, Donna...but please be gentle...this will be my first time...rock hunting, that is. :-)
